Overview

Assembly is looking for a Revenue Accountant who will be responsible for managing all aspects of revenue. The position will work side-by-side with the company’s client-facing teams, centralized accounting and billing teams. This role will report to the Senior Manager of Client Finance.

Responsibilities

Job responsibilities:

  • Own Revenue Recognition and Reconciliation in accordance with ASC 606 and ensure SOX Compliance requirements for the assigned ASM ROW Region
    • Perform monthly revenue reconciliation for multiple revenue streams
    • Prepare monthly revenue journal entries; must be comfortable with debits and credits and the effects on the income statement and balance sheet.
    • Partner with portfolio entities to communicate and reconcile intercompany transactions on monthly basis
  • Own quarterly Revenue variance analysis, work with client teams to understand variances between monthly actual vs forecast
  • Own Bi-weekly Revenue Tracker
  • Own Fee & Work In Progress/Advanced Billings & deferred Fee Reconciliations and ensure SOX Compliance requirements
    • Perform WIP analysis; facilitate the billing process by working with the billing department and the Client Teams to ensure WIP is billed to the Client timely and accurately
  • Own Client level reconciliation: Review and approve client level reconciliation prepared by Client Coordination Team
    • Analyze contracts and create Job codes to track profitability. Additionally, close jobs in ERP system upon completion.
  • Contract Review – Understand commercial Terms & Incorporate to Rev Rec models,
  • Working with FP&A to support Client level revenue for Budget & Reforecasts
    • Actively participate in analyzing financials and metrics in actuals, monthly reforecasts, and budget submissions, assessing trends and key business drivers as well as risks and opportunities
  • Lead Client Audits
  • Lead external and stat audits for Revenue, WIP/Advanced related items
  • Lead Commercial Compliance
  • Seek and implement ways to improve, streamline, and automate processes

 

Qualifications / Requirements:

  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel (formula, Power Query, automation, ability to handle high volume of data)
  • Ability to quickly pull together/consolidate data for management review
  • Independent and entrepreneurial; ability to work with minimal direction
  • Strong skills in communication, attention to detail, organization, teamwork collaboration, and taking ownership of deliverables
  • Ability to handle competing deliverables with quick turnaround times
  • Well-organized with strong people skills and ability to evaluate and communicate with Clients and Agency leaders
  • A positive attitude and the ability to thrive in a collaborative agency environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to roll-up sleeves and work with team members in a hands-on management capacity
  • 3-4 working experience, with Media agency is advantage
  • Experience with MediaOcean (media system)
  • Experience with Maconomy (accounting system)
