Overview

WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Affiliate Tagging and Governance Specialist to manage and streamline workflows for our key clients, specifically covering technical integrations and governance for our affiliate programs. This role requires close collaboration with Assembly affiliate account management teams, client governance and technical teams, and affiliate network engineers. You will oversee the successful project management, troubleshooting, and progression of technical integrations, tracking upgrades, and product feed integrations to drive affiliate program performance and compliance, as well as providing consultation on new network technologies and best practice.

 

This role is perfect for someone with a technical background in affiliate marketing or e-commerce tracking solutions (e.g. Integrations specialist) with strong experience or skills in technical project management, tracking implementation, and governance who is looking to progress their career.

Responsibilities

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING ON ANY GIVEN DAY

1. Technical Project Management:

  • Coordinate with internal teams (Assembly affiliate managers), client teams (governance, and tech teams) and external partners (affiliate network engineers and integration teams) to ensure seamless execution of technical integrations and upgrades.
  • Develop and maintain project timelines, ensuring milestones are met for tracking upgrades, product feed integrations, and other technical enhancements.
  • Facilitate clear and consistent communication across all stakeholders.

 

2. Affiliate Tracking and Integration:

  • Assist and oversee the integration of affiliate tracking solutions.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues with tracking implementations and ensure accurate data flow between platforms.
  • Oversee product feed integrations, troubleshooting errors and ensuring accuracy and relevance of data shared with affiliates.

 

3. Governance and Compliance:

  • Collaborate with client governance teams to enforce affiliate program policies and compliance standards.
  • Conduct regular audits to ensure systems are working correctly and setup is compliant with any regulations.
  • Provide consultancy services regarding affiliate technologies to the activation teams and client governance teams during new market launches and network selection process.

 

4. Collaboration and Stakeholder Management:

  • Act as the central point of contact for affiliate network engineers, client technical teams, and activation teams.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with affiliate partners to support smooth technical operations.
  • Facilitate cross-functional collaboration to address technical challenges and enhance program performance.

 

5. Process Improvement and Innovation:

    • Stay updated on the latest technologies, tools, and best practices in affiliate marketing and technical governance.
    • Recommend and implement process improvements to enhance operational efficiency and tracking accuracy.

Required Skills

DOES THIS SOUNDS LIKE YOU?

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, computer science or similar would be beneficial but not essential.
  • Proven experience in affiliate marketing, technical integrations, or related project management roles.
  • Working knowledge of affiliate platforms (e.g. CJ Affiliate, Awin, Rakuten, Impact) and their tracking technology.
  • Hands on experience and strong understanding of technical implementation tools and processes, including Google Tag Manager, product feed management systems, and APIs is essential.
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills with a focus on meeting deadlines.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to collaborate effectively across technical and non-technical teams.
  • Familiarity with scripting languages (e.g., JavaScript) for advanced technical implementations.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
